One Killed, Four Wounded in Perris Shooting

PERRIS, CA- Authorities Tuesday were investigating a shooting at a Perris business that left one person dead and four others wounded.

The violence was reported about 1 a.m. Monday at the unnamed business, located in the 100 block of South D Street, sheriff’s Sgt. Rob Thompson said.

Deputies arrived to find five males suffering from gunshot wounds, the sergeant said. Four of the victims were taken to local hospitals, two with serious injuries and two with minor injuries, Thompson said.

The other victim, who was not identified pending notification of next-of- kin, was pronounced dead at the scene, the sergeant said.

Sheriff’s officials did not identify the business and offered no information about a possible suspect or suspects, but asked anyone with information to contact homicide investigators at (951) 955-2777.
