Dive Team Searching For Lake Berryessa Drowning Victim: Police
The victim is said to be a male who authorities believe drowned Wednesday night. Dive team members began a recovery operation Thursday.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — Dive team members from the Napa County Sheriff’s Department has responded to Lake Berryessa on Thursday to recover the body someone who is believed to drown on Wednesday night, police officials said.
The victim is suspected to be a male who authorities believe drowned in the lake in an area east of the 1000 block of Berryessa Knoxville Road. Authorities arrived at the scene around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Napa County Sheriff’s spokesman Henry Wofford told Bay City News Service that dive team members arrived about midday in what is said to be a recovery operation. No further information about the victim is available at this time.
