He was arrested Monday on suspicion of domestic violence the day before, according to an arrest summary from the Napa Police Department.

Napa Fire Marshal Jailed for Domestic Violence

Napa fire marshal Darren Drake was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of domestic violence Sunday evening, according to an arrest summary from the City of Napa Police Department:

On November 4, 2012 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Mr. Drake was involved an argument with the victim at his residence.

During the argument, Drake grabbed the victim causing minor injury that did not require medical attention.

Napa Police Department was notified of this incident on November 5, 2012 at approximately 1:15 p.m.

At 4:00 p.m. Drake was contacted by an officer in the 500 block of Lincoln Ave. and taken into custody. He was booked into Napa County Department of Corrections.

Drake is a fire marshal with the City of Napa Fire Department who in 2008 was named  was named California Building Officials’ (CALBO) “Fire Official of the Year,” according to the department's website.
