Watch the Cricket World Cup live at Compadres!
The Napa Valley Cricket Club will be screening Cricket World Cup matches live at the their new sponsor, Compadres Rio Grille, in Napa.
The 11th Cricket World Cup (CWC) kicked off on Friday with the opening games featuring joint hosts New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand dispatched a lack-luster Sri Lanka with ease in Christchurch while Australia convincingly beat England in Melbourne.
While the tournament is taking place “down-under” cricket lovers closer to home can enjoy all of the action live at Compadres on Lincoln Avenue in Napa, all thanks to the Napa Valley Cricket Club (NVCC). The brainchild of club president Phil Bourke is the result of Compadres signing on this year to sponsor the NVCC and the timing has worked out really well for both parties. With the CWC running until the end of March it means six weeks of almost daily cricket matches.
