Dolphin Pod Parade: Flipper's Family in Newport [Look!]

Newport Beach wildlife photographer Cari Garfield had a lot to celebrate today when jet skiing. A pod of Dolphins decided to join the fun

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Wildlife photographer Cari Garfield decided to go for a morning jet ski from Newport to Laguna to take photos of marine wildlife and birds, as is her true passion.

A family of dolphins decided to join in her fun in the area of Corona Del Mar. Garfield described how they played in the water next to her.

"I ride my jet ski from here to Laguna and take pictures along the way," she said. "There is one specific dolphin that follows me all of the time. Whenever I'm out, he follows me. I've nicknamed him 'Flipper'."

According to Garfield, Flipper loves to ride the wake of the jet ski, and this time he brought his family, she said.

"He came over and showed me the baby," she said.
