Gas Prices Increase in Newport Beach, Across Orange County

The cost of filling up has increased slightly across Orange County. How much did you pay to fill up, and where is your favorite gas station?

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Are you feeling more pain at the pump in Newport Beach?

The Orange County average price rose the sixth consecutive day today, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $2.767. The cost of gasoline in the OC area has increased 5.7 cents over the past six days and is 5.6 cents more than one week ago and 15.4 cents higher than one month ago. However, the Orange County average price is 53 cents less than one year ago.

Is it cheaper to buy gas in Los Angeles county? Not this week. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the eighth consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $2.782.

The average price has risen 5.4 cents over the past eight days and is 5.3 cents higher than one week ago and 14 cents more than than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is 57.7 cents less than one year ago.
