Three people are reported to have suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning in the second of two collisions caused by a wrong-way driver on the Hollywood (170) Freeway in the Valley Glen area.
A driver was reported to have been headed north in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Laurel Canyon Boulevard just before 3 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada. The wrong-way motorist was then involved in a non-injury two-vehicle collision and a second two-vehicle collision with minor injuries, Posada said.
Three people were taken to hospitals, a news photographer reported from the scene.
The wrong-way driver was being investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Posada said. The crash closed all southbound lanes of the freeway, she said.
The carpool and left lanes were reopened around 4:30 a.m., according to the CHP.
