Update: Death of Musician Damian Bisciglia Ruled a Suicide

Update, 3:15 p.m. Wednesday

A man whose body was found in 9800 block of Andora Avenue in Chatsworth was identified Wednesday as a 52-year-old Northridge man.

Police responded to the scene at about 8 a.m. Tuesday, said Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office.

An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of Damian Alfred Bisciglia's death and whether foul play was involved.

A man walking his dog reportedly found the body in Oakwood Memorial Park.

Authorities Tuesday were investigating the discovery of a body near the entrance to the Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park in Chatsworth, according to Jim Van Gundy of the Chatsworth Neighborhood Council.

The incident was a suicide, according to a local Neighborhood Watch leader and LAPD Lead Officer Daniel Del Valle, Van Gundy said.

Police were sent to the 9800 block of Andora Avenue about 8 a.m., said Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office.

The dead person was described only as a male, Faden said.
