U-Haul Truck Fire Prompts 405/118 Transition SigAlert
The California Highway Patrol issued an hour-long SigAlert for the San Diego (405) and Ronald Reagan (118) freeway transition road.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — A U-Haul truck fire prompted several lane closures and an ongoing SigAlert for the transition between the San Diego (405) and Ronald Reagan (118) freeways in the Northridge area Monday morning.
The SigAlert is expected to last until almost 11 a.m., and commuters were being advised to avoid the area. According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck fire on the northbound 405 connector to the westbound 118 freeway blocked the number 3 and 4 lanes and prompted a full closure of the connector.
The fire was reported at about 9:30 a.m., and an hour-long SigAlert was issued at 9:42 a.m.
