Those amazing Madsons keep racking up the wrestling accolades.

Steve Madson was a champion wrestler when he grew up in Novato. His oldest daughter, Courtney, was a champion wrestler a few years ago at Novato High School. And now, younger daughter Carissa is a certified No. 1 as well for the Hornets.

On Saturday, Carissa claimed the 122-pound division crown at the California Interscholastic Federation Girls Wrestling Championships in Lemoore and finished her high school career with a 94-1 record.

For a full story on the tournament, check this story in the Marin Independent Journal.
