Police Find Man Taking Desperate Measure to Hide Meth

Warrant arrest turns into fresh drug counts for San Francisco man arrested at Bay Vista section of Hamilton.

Police Find Man Taking Desperate Measure to Hide Meth

A man trying to hide methamphetamines in his anal cavity was arrested Wednesday in a Hamilton apartment on suspicion of various drug charges, said.

Novato officers were assisting San Francisco probation personnel on a felony warrant arrest of Dajuan Zachery Phillips, 21, when they arrived at the apartment on Muroc Lake Drive in the Bay Vista neighborhood, Lt. Keith Heiden said. Phillips was found in a bedroom attempting to deposit a clear baggie into his anus, according to a preliminary police report.

Tests revealed Phillips was in possession of 3.4 grams of methamphetamine, considered multiple doses, Heiden said.

There were six warrants for Phillips’ arrest, with battery on transportation personnel being the most serious and justifying a bail of $250,000, according to the Marin County Jail booking log. Phillips now faces an additional felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
