UPDATED: Dillion's Beach Fire Contained
Sheriff's officials say emergency crews responded Friday night to a wildfire.

Marin County firefighters and sheriff's deputies responded to a wildfire in the unincorporated Dillon Beach area Friday night, but were able to quickly contain the blaze.
The Marin County Sheriff's Office announced via Twitter at 8:53 p.m. that campers were being evacuated to the beach due to a wildland fire near Dillon Beach Resort. Shortly thereafter, they said deputies were blocking roads into the Dillion's Beach area to allow fire crews safe access.

As of 10 p.m., the sheriff's office reported that the fire had been contained. It was estimated to be about 5 acres in size.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
