Expanding on the tattoo body art of their subject, Anna Stump and Ted Meyer will create a large scale painting with a live model during their “Exploding Tattoo” performance at the next Artists@Work on August 9 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Through performance installation and photographic documentation, Stump and Meyer explore contemporary body fixation, and the fascination with tattoo decoration appropriated from pop imagery and exotic religious iconography.
Each Artists@Work event is designed to give guests a first-hand look at the creative process while engaging with a different diverse artist each month. This creative happy hour includes complimentary appetizers by Bull Taco and an open beer and wine bar featuring Laguintas craft beer. Tickets are $15 for OMA members or $20 for nonmembers.
