Video: Pride at the Beach Urges LGBT Voter Registration

The North County LGBTQ Resource Center celebrated Pride in Oceanside Saturday.

Pride at the Beach festival in Oceanside was colorful, musical and even political. This year there was urgency for the North County LGBTQ community to get out there and vote.

Some adorned stickers with the statement 'Proud to be an Equality Voter' and others wore a shirt that said simply, "VOTE."

Various groups attended the Pride festival encouraging participants to register to vote. Organizing for America Oceanside chapter, an community organization created by the Democratic National Convention, held a booth to encourage Pride goers to register.

Jerry Tetalman, 49th Congressional District Democratic Candidate, showed his support at the festival.

The San Diego Log Cabin Republicans was also in attendance to help get more voters.

"We want to make sure that people know we are out here," said Chad Michael Terry, a member of the San Diego Log Cabin Republicans. "We also want to make sure that people are registered to vote. "
