Body Found Under 405 Freeway At Bear Street

COSTA MESA, CA —A body was discovered near a construction site on the I-405 Freeway, just south of the Bear Street Overpass, Monday afternoon, California Highway Patrol reports.

According to CHP officers, at approximately 12:30 p.m., construction workers saw a man they thought was "taking a nap," CHP Officer Florentino Olivera tells Patch.

Upon further inspection, they discovered the person, an adult male, was deceased.

"The construction crew had not been at the site since Friday," Olivera says.

CHP called the Orange County Coroner's Office to the scene, who collected the body.

Neither the exact time the man died nor the death's nature was not known as of this report.
