According to the OC Register, a large swell brought dangerous surf conditions to the Orange County coast this weekend. Waves clocked in at the six-foot to eight-foot range on Sunday with a strong rip current, the report said.
"The ocean conditions are constantly changing based on tides, surf conditions, and time of the year," Marine Safety Division Chief Eric Dieterman told City News Service. "Due to these changing conditions, and the 40-45-foot pier height, pier jumping is prohibited."
