Friday, Dec. 28

2:17 a.m. – Burglary – Milagra Drive – House keys, a wallet and jacket were stolen from a vehicle in a window-smash burglary.

4:20 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – Beaumont Boulevard – A person who appeared to be “snooping around” a neighborhood told residents who confronted him that he was a private investigator representing the water department.


Saturday, Dec. 29

5:17 a.m. – Burglary – Carmel Avenue – A male subject was seen going down the street opening car doors. The male subject was carrying a flashlight. He was last seen running towards Highway 1.

11:04 a.m. – Burglary – Alicante Drive – Burglars stole several hunting rifles and a pistol from a residence while a resident was out to dinner with relatives.

12:30 p.m. – Burglary – Marvilla Ciricle – Burglars stole a wallet and vehicle registration among other items from a car’s glove box.

3:41 p.m. – Malicious Mischief – Paloma Avenue – Vandals damaged fabric along a tennis court fence.


Sunday, Dec. 30

3:12 a.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – Alicante Drive – Two males who were seen opening and closing car doors yelled at a woman who reported the incident to the police.

5:10 p.m. – Domestic Disturbance – Alicante Drive – A person walking by an open garage door saw a male subject chocking a female who was sitting in the car.


Monday, Dec. 31

5:07 p.m. – Malicious Mischief – Hickey Boulevard - A woman angered that a store was closed ripped off a “closed” sign and tried to kick in the door. The woman dropped her cell phone, which is in police custody.

5:20 p.m. – Petty Theft – Linda Mar Center – Approximately $400 worth of items were stolen from an office.


Tuesday, Jan. 1

3:56 p.m. – SPCA Case – Yosemite Drive – A large unleashed brown dog was running around the center of a park with children in the area.

8:02 p.m. – Domestic Disturbance - Esplanade Avenue – A neighbor told police they could hear a dispute in a next door apartment in which a woman was heard screaming “stop pulling my hair.”


Wednesday, Jan. 2

4:38 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances – Gateway Drive/Hickey Boulevard – Two transient adult males reportedly tried to pull off a sewer gate.

8:24 p.m. – Vehicle Stolen – Brighton Road – A black four-door Buick Regal last seen on Dec. 24 was reported stolen by the owner who told police they left their keys in the car.


Thursday, Jan. 3

12:12 p.m. – Malicious Mischief – Gateway Drive – A maintenance man sent to repair damage from a leak and a broken door frame.

5:09 p.m. – Municipal Code Violation – Gypsy Hill Road – A resident who told police they’ve had an ongoing problem with trash left on their property reported the dumping of a dead deer.

11:25 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstances - Beachview Avenue – Police received a report a glass breaking outside a residence but the reporting party said they couldn’t see anyone in the area.
