1 Dies In Big Rig Crash Near California/Arizona Border

BLYTHE, CA — One person died as a result of a big rig crash on the 10 Freeway between Desert Center and Blythe, authorities said early Monday.

Witnesses reported seeing the big rig on its side just after 10:45 p.m. Sunday. Arriving Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters used hydraulic tools to free one patient from the wreckage, fire officials said.

That patient died at the scene, fire officials said.
