1 Killed In Fiery Single Car Crash On Fred Waring Drive

INDIO, CA —One person was killed in a fiery solo car crash late Tuesday in the city of Indio, officials say.

Shortly after 11:15 PM, Cal Fire Riverside County Fire Department firefighters arrived at the 81000 block of Fred Waring Drive and Madison Street in Indio to find a car fully ablaze with one victim inside.

According to Cal Fire, the fire was contained, and one victim perished at the scene. The incident has been turned over to the Indio Police Department for further investigation. No other information was immediately available.
