Man Nearly Drowns At Palm Desert Pool
The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

PALM DESERT, CA -- A man suffered a medical emergency while swimming at a Palm Desert public pool Sunday, and firefighters said he nearly drowned. Firefighters and paramedics were called at about 9:20 a.m. to the Palm Desert Aquatic Center in the 73000 block of Magnesia Falls Drive, said Tawny Cabral of the Riverside County Fire Department.
When first responders arrived, on-duty lifeguards had already pulled the victim out of the pool and were performing life-saving procedures on him, Cabral said.
The man was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
