Plane Makes Emergency Landing, Upside Down, at La Quinta Golf Course

A single-engine private airplane was forced to make an emergency landing on a La Quinta golf course Friday, but no one was injured, authorities said.
The crash landing was reported at 4:18 p.m. at Mountain View Country Club, in the 80200 block of Via Valerso, Riverside County fire spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said.
“It appears the plane experienced mechanical failure causing the pilot to conduct an emergency landing on the golf course,” the sheriff’s department said in a news release following the incident. “The pilot was the only occupant inside the plane and no one was injured during this incident.”
