A review of reported crimes from May 2 to May 8 from the Palm Desert Police Department, which is staffed by sheriff’s deputies.

POLICE BLOTTER: Bank robberies, DUI and burglaries

Tuesday, May 8 

11:30 a.m.:   Officers arrested Michael Greig, 64, from Palm Desert, for domestic battery at the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station.

11:48 p.m.:: Officers responded to the 43700 block of Kelsey Ct. on a domestic dispute call. Nicola Joukousky, 45, from Palm Desert, was arrested for domestic battery.

Monday, May 7

7:48 p.m.: Officers arrested Mark Ormson, 50, from Palm Desert, for possession of methamphetamine and violating a court order within the 73000 block of Fairway Drive.

10:34 p.m.: Officers served an arrest warrant within the 77700 block of Michigan Dr. Latoya Lawrence, 28, from Palm Desert, was arrested on a Welfare Fraud and Perjury warrant.

Sunday, May 6

9:24 p.m.:   Officers arrested Kelly Zavala, 27, from Desert Hot Springs, possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop. No location was noted.

Saturday, May 5

No significant reports.

Friday, May 4

2:11 a.m.:  Officers responded to a at Hwy 74 and El Paseo. Beatriz Placencia Flores, 21, from Indio, was arrested for DUI.

11:39 a.m.:  Officers responded to a at the First California Bank, Fred Waring Drive and Washington Street. A white male adult, approximately 20-30 years of age handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was used. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

9:27 p.m.:  Officers responded to the Marriott Courtyard at 74895 Frank Sinatra in regarding a disturbance. Eugene Yukhvid, 31, from Des Plains, Illinois, was arrested for public intoxication.

Thursday, May 3

2:12 p.m.:  Officers responded to reference a theft. Ricardo Sanchez, 43, from Cathedral City, was arrested for commercial burglary.

8:49 p.m. Officers responded to the 73400 block of Catalina Way reference an attempt warrant service. Emmanuel Bernal, 22, from Palm Desert, was arrested on an outstanding felony narcotic’s warrant.

Wednesday, May 2
