Greg Gallo, a partner at the East Palo Alto and global law firm DLA Piper, was just awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by Avenidas , the Palo Alto based non-profit organization that serves seniors in the region.
Avenidas provides a wide range of programs and support for more than 6,500 seniors that enable them to stay active, maintain their independence or care for a spouse in the communities including Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Stanford, Menlo Park, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Atherton, Portola Valley, Woodside, and Mountain View.
Avenidas honored Greg Gallo with its Lifetime Achievement Award at its annual event held recently -- an award that “honors citizens of the local community who have made lasting professional and community commitments to our community over their lifetimes.”

Corporate attorney Greg Gallo joined the Palo Alto law firm of Ware & Freidenrich in 1973 and is currently a partner at DLA Piper.
During his 40-plus years in law, he has dedicated much of his efforts to building nonprofit capacity throughout Silicon Valley and the Bay Area.
In addition to serving on the boards of several for-profit organizations such as Maxtor Corporation and Network General, he has spent time on numerous nonprofit boards including those of the American Red Cross, Family & Children Services, the Entrepreneurs Foundation, and Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
He also chaired the board of the Senior Coordinating Council, which later became Avenidas, in the early nineties. A Harvard Law School graduate, Greg is a Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and has guest lectured at both Stanford and UC Berkeley's business schools.
