Freak Accident Kills One in Santa Clara County
The victim was dead when fire crews reached the vehicle.
One person was killed in a car that fell 400 feet off a hill near a landfill in San Jose this morning, a fire captain said.
Fire crews responded to a report of a vehicle over the side of a hill on Guadalupe Mines Road, near Los Gatos, around 9:30 a.m., fire Capt. Mitch Matlow said. Crews reached the scene and learned a person inside the car died, Matlow said.
