Stanford Shopping Center Turning Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The center will feature a 'I Am More Than Pink' selfie station, a hero wall and discount cards, with proceeds benefitting Susan G. Komen.

PALO ALTO, CA – Stanford Shopping Center is launching its second participation in Breast Cancer Awareness with the Susan G. Komen organization and, with the mall owner and affiliates, pledging to donate $1 million each year for the next two years to support the fight against breast cancer.

“At Stanford Shopping Center, we’re always eager to raise awareness and encourage support to finding a cure for breast cancer because it affects many members of our community every year including our employees, retailers and shoppers,” said Julie Kelly, director of marketing and business development at Stanford Shopping Center. “Through the More Than Pink movement, we’re throwing our support behind Komen’s Bold Goal of reducing current breast cancer deaths in the U.S. by 50 percent in the next ten years.”

Visitors to Stanford Shopping Center will notice the pink theme carried throughout the center, and staff will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning pink accessories.
