Body Found Off Point Fermin In San Pedro
The victim was a woman but whose age was not available, fire officials said.
SAN PEDRO, CA -- A body was found Wednesday at the base of a cliff in San Pedro after firefighters responded to a report that a person had gone over the side.
Firefighters were called at 2:35 p.m. to the area of Point Fermin near Paseo Del Mar and located the female victim, whose age was not immediately available, according to Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Crews planned to hoist the body to the top of the cliff, Lenske said.

Coroner's office personnel were summoned to the scene, he said.
