Rolling Robots' VEXIQ Team Won Teamwork Champion Award

Local Elementary School VEXIQ Team Won Tournament and qualified for the California State Championship

Local kids from Rolling Robots’ Elementary School VEXIQ Team 7700J won the Tournament Champion Award at the 2nd Annual Chadwick School VEXIQ Tournament, which has both Elementary and Middle School VEXIQ teams in participation. This win qualified the team to compete in the California State Championship in March next year. The team has also won Judge’s Award and STEM Award for the study of the Effect of Drag on Airplane lead by two fifth graders - Jillian Farley and Alison King.

The members of Team 7700J have been studying robotics and programming through Rolling Robots’ After-school and Summer Programs. They are all excited about applying some of their skills they have learned in the building of the VEXIQ robots for this year’s VEXIQ challenge - Bank Shot. Along the way, they are learning new knowledge on how to build a good robot, how to work with a team, and how to face challenges and solve problems at the live tournaments.

The team members are Roshan Hegde, Jaehoon Kim, Alison King, Jillian Farley, Saifali Haji, Dylan Huang, Ethan Schwab.
