This Week's Adoptable Dogs

Here's a look at the pets that Doggies 911/Paws With Needs has to offer.

Due to the growth of the adoption services, Doggies 911/Paws With Needs has moved to a new location: Petco, 852 N. Western Ave. in San Pedro.

All dogs are up-to-date on their vaccines. They have their rabies shots, are fecal tested, de-wormed, and micro chipped. Descriptions of the dogs are listed in the photo gallery.

Iris

Age: 5 months old

Sex: Female

Breed: Shepherd mix 

Personality: Iris is an adorable puppy that underestimates her own size. Her tail wags nonstop and she is a total kisser. She has a very sweet disposition and is great with other dogs.

Background: Iris was rescued from a local pound.

Shana

Age: 3 years old

Sex: Female

Breed: Purebred German shepherd

Personality: German shepherds are bred to guard and protect, but Shana is the sweetest protector of them all. She is a very friendly dog, getting along with other dogs, cats and even rabbits. Shana is obedience trained and walks well on a leash.

Background: Shana’s owners took her to the pound.

Tulip

Age: 4-5 months old

Sex: Female

Breed: Pit Bull/Border Collie mix   

Personality: Tulip is a beautiful dog and very friendly. She is currently in behavior training for basic obedience and will make an excellent addition to any family.

Background: Tulip was rescued from the Harbor Shelter.

Jack

Age: 1 year old

Sex: Male

Breed: Border Collie mix 

Personality: Jack is a high-energy dog who will do very well with an active owner. If you like hiking, running or biking, this is the dog for you! He also gets along with other dogs.

Background: Jack was adopted from a shelter and then surrendered by his owner a few months later.

Howard

Age: 3 years old

Sex: Male

Breed: Longhaired Dachshund

Personality: Howard is a very happy dog with a gorgeous coat and great energy.

Background: Howard was rescued from a local pound.

Pepe Le Pew

Age: 1 year old

Sex: Male

Breed: Longhaired Dachshund

Personality: Pepe Le Pew gets his name from the light coloring along his back. He has a lot of energy and is very talkative. Pepe is a true character that will provide his future owner with hours of entertainment.

Background: Pepe Le Pew was rescued from a local pound.

Tootsie

Age: 1-2 years old

Sex: Female

Breed: Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix

Personality: Tootsie is as sweet as they come. Tootsie loves people and children of all ages, but she is not a big fan of cats or small dogs. Although she is a considered a dominant female, she is extremely obedient and not aggressive in the least.

Background: Tootsie was abandoned at a shelter.

Missy

Age: 2-3 years old

Sex: Female

Breed: Terrier/Poodle mix

Personality: Missy is a shy dog that needs a calm household. She is currently being potty trained and will need access to a doggie door or open door to back yard to help with her training. Missy is comfortable with other dogs around her size.

Background: Missy was rescued from a shelter.

Spanky

Age: 5 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix

Personality: Spanky is very playful and loves to kiss! He will take any opportunity to crawl in your lap.

Background: Spanky and his siblings, Alfalfa and Darla were all rescued after being thrown in a dumpster. He is too young to be neutered, but he is currently on a vaccination schedule.

Darla

Age: 5 months

Sex: Female

Breed: Dachshund/Chihuahua mix

Personality: Darla loves to play and follow her brother Spanky around. She is extremely happy and healthy and covers volunteers with kisses at every opportunity.

Background: Darla and her siblings, Alfalfa and Spanky were all rescued after being thrown in a dumpster. She is too young to be spayed, but she is currently on a vaccination schedule.

Brody

Age: 1-2 years old

Sex: Male

Breed: Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix

Personality: Brody is a very active, happy-go-lucky dog that is quite gentle with other puppies.

Background: Brody was in a shelter about to be put down when he was rescued.
