CPR will be taught in more than 90 locations through Los Angeles County today, including Rancho Palos Verdes.
Known as "Sidewalk CPR," the idea is that CPR can be taught in 10 minutes. With this knowledge applied at the scene, a cardiac arrest victim can be kept alive until paramedics arrive.
The program is offered by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency.
The classes are taught by county firefighters and other medical professionals.
Personnel will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Ralph's market, 30019 Hawthorne Blvd. in RPV.
