Woman's Body Found At Bottom Of Pt. Fermin In San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, CA -- A young woman's body was found Tuesday at the base of a cliff near Pt. Fermin Park in San Pedro.

The body was discovered about 6:20 a.m. about 175 feet down the steep embankment in the general area of Gaffey Street and Paseo del Mar, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the woman, who was about 20 years of age, the coroner's office reported.

Investigators were working to determine if the woman fell or jumped from the cliff.
