Gov. Brown Appoints Pasadena's Catherine Keig to California Water Commission

Pasadena's Catherine Keig will serve on the commission aimed at maintaining sustainable water resource's and a healthy environment

PASADENA, CA -- A Pasadena resident was appointed to the California Water Commission by Gov. Jerry Brown, his office announced Monday.

Catherine Keig, 60, was interim Exposition Park manager at the California Science Center in 2014 and director of Southern California activities in the Office of the California State President pro Tempore from 1992 to 2011.

Keig, a Democrat, served in several positions in the state Senate from 1981 through 1992, including as communications director of the Senate Rules Committee, director of the Senate Democratic Caucus and as a Senate floor analyst.

Her appointment requires Senate confirmation; the compensation is $100 per diem.
