1 Killed As Overturned Big Rig Snarls 210 Freeway
The driver of the a big rig was trapped in the wreckage of the overturned truck on the westbound 210 Freeway Tuesday.
PASADENA, CA — One person was killed Tuesday in a crash that resulted in a big rig overturning on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena.
The crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. just east of Lake Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the big rig suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Good Samaritans worked to free the driver trapped in the wreckage, but he couldn't be saved, according to the CHP. Responding officers initially struggled to make it through the gridlock to the scene of the crash.

An initial unconfirmed report from the scene indicated the big rig was involved in a collision with a pickup truck, according to the CHP.
The crash promoted closure of the Lake Avenue off-ramp, the CHP reported. the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the crash.
