A man fatally shot in front of a convenience store near Oakland’s MacArthur BART station Saturday night was identified as a 26-year-old Oakland resident, police said today. Terryl Rucker was found shot outside Al-Awdi’s Mini Mart and Kitchen at 3841 West St. at 8:07 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rucker’s murder was the latest fatality in a bloody week in Oakland that saw four homicides and numerous injuries by shootings. Early this morning, three people were shot in Oakland’s Fruitvale District by a suspect who apparently knew them. They were shot at about 12:35 a.m. in the 3300 block of Foothill Boulevard and were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle and had not been arrested as of this morning, police said. On Friday afternoon a 22-year-old man was shot and killed in the San Antonio neighborhood. He was found inside a home in the 2000 block of 22nd Avenue where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released the man’s name.

Another man was found shot and killed Wednesday evening in the 1600 block of 69th Avenue just after 7 p.m. Police have not released his name or a description of any suspects in the case. The week began with a possible road rage killing of 30-year-old mother of four Perla Avina on 98th Avenue just after 12:30 p.m. last Saturday. Police did make an arrest in that case, tracking down and arresting Carl Stephen Dubose, 20, of Oakland after a standoff in Elk Grove on Wednesday.
Dubose was booked into Santa Rita Jail in Dublin without bail Thursday night and is set to appear in court Monday morning, according to jail records.
