Panthers Break School Records

Two school records were broken on April 19 when the Panthers traveled to Davis for the Woody Wilson Invitational.  Junior Chloe Jenkins was the first to the top of the all-time list, breaking the 400-meter dash record of 56.77 set in 2008 by Taylor Lawson '10 (graduating from Cal this spring).  Chloe’s time, 55.93, bettered the invitational field by almost an entire second and now ranks her second in the entire North Coast Section.

Some twenty-five minutes after Chloe’s record-setting run, the school record in the girls’ 300-meter hurdles went down.  Senior Carly Schulz, whose assault on this record has been a year in the making, finally eclipsed the old record of 43.76 set by Danielle Stokes a dozen years ago.   Her 43.68 is the best time in the North Coast Section this year and the 10th best time in California for 2014.  (SM Track & Field web info - Jeff Rogers, Coach)

Congratulations, Panthers!
