Friday, Dec. 14

5:52 p.m.: Employees at Carrow's restaurant on Contra Costa Boulevard reported that a man had eaten there the day before and then left his identification because he didn't have any money. The man returned on this evening, ate some more and then asked for his i-d back.

10:58 p.m.: The window of an automobile was smashed while it was parked near the Century 12 theater on Crescent Drive. It wasn't specified what items were taken from the car.

11:34 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of five backpacks being found in the parking garage on Crescent Drive.

Sunday, Dec. 16

7:29 a.m.: A burglary was reported at the Radio Shack on Contra Costa Boulevard. Entry was gained by prying open the front door. A witness saw a man in a red Santa hat and a white mask drive off in, not a sleigh, but a Navy blue truck.

5:24 p.m.: An attempted robbery was reported at the Little Dragon Restaurant on Golf Club Road. Employees said the two male suspects were wearing black beanies, black shirts and jackets. The weapons were a knife and a silver handgun.

5:29 p.m.: A burglar smashed the window of a silver Mercedes parked on Hoover Avenue and stole a purse from inside the vehicle.
