Pleasanton Intersection Reopens Hours After Fatal Bicycle Collision
Police say the bicyclist died at the scene.
Pleasanton, CA — A fatal collision involving an adult female bicyclist and a car closed the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Stanley Boulevard for about five hours this morning.
The collision was reported at about 7 a.m., according to police.
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Deputy Chief Joe Testa said the bicyclist involved suffered fatal injuries and no other injuries were reported at the scene.

According to a statement released by police, the bicyclist was traveling southbound on Valley Avenue toward Bernal Avenue when she was struck by a driver traveling eastbound on Stanley Boulevard.
Police say the bicyclist died at the scene, and the driver is cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing.
