PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton drivers experienced traffic delays Monday afternoon as fire officials worked to put out a fire on an overturned car after a crash near Valley Avenue and Danbury Park.

The car hit a tree and flipped onto its roof around 12:48 p.m., said Pleasanton Police Department Lt. Erik Silacci. Silacci believes the driver was the lone occupant of the car. No other cars were involved and officials were waiting for a tow truck to arrive around 1:20 p.m.

The driver was able to exit the car on his own, said Livermore-Pleasanton Batallion Chief Jason Solak. The driver refused medical care, according to Falk Ambulance, which responded to the call.
