She Wants to Learn to Shoot A Gun—Now!

A Rancho Santa Margarita woman has deputies concerned by an unusual request.

She Wants to Learn to Shoot A Gun—Now!

You know that weapons ban that President Obama just signed. It's probably not popular with one Rancho Santa Margarita woman.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department was contacted early Wednesday morning—at 3:55 a.m., to be exact—by a woman with an unusual request.

According to the OCSD blotter, a suspicious woman told the 9-1-1 desk that she wanted an "officer" to respond to teach her how to shoot a gun.

The woman also indicated she expected the deputy to accommodate her immediately.

Of course, you catch more flies with honey, so her quest for gunpower wasn't helped by being uncooperative with the desk which—after about nine minutes trying to figure out the woman—requested deputies see her because she making absolutely no sense whatsoever.

At 4:17 a.m., officers arrived at the woman's Via Cresta residence, whereupon the woman requested that the deputies stand in the light and show their IDs.

Deputies did not teach her how to shoot a gun.

This report is culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
