City officials and dignitaries joined the Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the launching of a branch of the Homes for Heroes program on Wednesday.

Members of Tarbell Realtors and Prime Lending have launched the branch, which will serve a large area of the Inland Empire.

About 20 people attended the ceremony, including San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Neil Derry, Loma Linda City Manager T. Jarb Theipejr and Robbie Broedow, a representative for Sentor Bob Dutton.

Homes for Heroes is a company that partners with Realtors, lenders and other real estate service providers from around the country to offer substantial rebates and discounts toward the purchase of homes for those who serve our country, cities and towns, program officials said.

The program was created after the tragic events of Sept. 11 as a way to thank the men and women who serve their communities. Heroes who sign up are matched them with Homes for Heroes Affiliates in their area.

For information on the program, call DeeAnn Parra with Tarbell Realtors (909) 583-9634 or Jennifer Roblee with PrimeLending (909) 556-5055.
