CSUSB to host 4th annual Pre-Medical and Pre-Health Conference

The Cal State San Bernardino Medical and Pre-Health Student Society will host the 4th annual Pre-Medical and Pre-Health conference, Jan. 16.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cal State San Bernardino Medical and Pre-Health Student Society will host the 4th annual Pre-Medical and Pre-Health conference on Saturday, Jan. 16. Organized entirely by students, this conference has continued to grow over the years and this year will be no different.

Two keynote speakers for this year’s conference are Maria Rivas, staff pharmacist at St. Helena Hospital Center for Behavioral Health, and Phyllis Meadows, clinical professor of Health Management and Policy at the School of Public Health for the University of Michigan.

This year’s conference aims to appeal to both new and previous attendees. Both groups will benefit from hands-on workshops, meeting health professionals and learning from the various presenters.

Taking place in the Santos Manuel Student Union, the conference will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m. The conference cost is $20 for CSUSB students and $25 for non-CSUSB students through Dec. 31. After that date, the registration fee will be $25 and $30, respectively.

Tickets are available for purchase at the CSUSB MAPSS Pre-Medical and Pre-Health Conference website at www.csusbpremed.org. Parking is $6.

The ticket will give attendees access to all keynote presenters, workshops and recruitment fair. A continental breakfast and lunch will also be provided along with a conference bag and t-shirt. Those who reserve a ticket before Dec. 31 will have the opportunity to participate in the conference giveaway. The giveaway prizes will include an iPad and several test preparation courses.

The Pre-Medical and Pre-Health conference has gained popularity over the years which has brought students from across the nation to attend. Stanford University will be among the new presenters and recruiters present at the conference.
