High Surf Advisory Issued For Redondo Beach

Big waves are expected to hit Redondo Beach.

High Surf Advisory Issued For Redondo Beach

As if high winds are not enough, the national Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for Sunday night through Monday.

Wave sets of 7-9 feet are expected to hit beaches with western exposures. Some waves may top 11 feet in height.

Redondo and Manhattan beaches are primary targets for the high waves, although southwest-facing beaches like Santa Monica and Zuma may also be affected. Water temperatures are between 57 and 61 along the Los Angeles County coast, a bit high for this time of year, the NWS said.
