Victim of Oakland Motorcycle Crash Identified
The driver of the vehicle that collided with the motorcycle is cooperating with police.

OAKLAND, CA - A motorcyclist who died in a collision with a vehicle in East Oakland on Sunday has been identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau as 24-year-old Richmond resident Roman Valdez Ortega.
Valdez Ortega died in a crash that occurred shortly before 5:50 p.m. at 73rd Avenue and Weld Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene about 10 minutes later, police said.
The person driving the vehicle involved in the collision stopped and cooperated with investigators, according to police. No other information about the collision was immediately available.
