Fire Breaks Out Early Saturday In Building On Avram Avenue In Rohnert Park

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety responded to several calls shortly after 2 a.m. today -- Saturday -- for a structure fire on Avram Avenue.

Officers arrived on scene within minutes along with fire crews from Rohnert Park, Rancho Adobe, Rincon Valley and Petaluma.

Through a defensive fire attack the fire was extinguished, but there was heavy damage in portions of the vacant building, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
