The Fairfax Police blotter for Dec. 26-30 includes three horses on Rudy Contratti Field and a suspicious man in a Santa hat.

Sunday, Dec. 30

Suspicious person: 12:59 p.m. Willow Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Subject wearing a Santa hat has been standing at the corner, staring at the nursery, for the last hour while smoking cigarettes.

Horses: 2:36 p.m. Rudy Contratti Field on Bank Street. Three horses on the lawn next to the baseball field.


Saturday, Dec. 29

Assist: 5:53 p.m. Good Earth on Scenic Road. BMW rolled into a Lexus SUV. Owner of the BMW unsuccessfully attempted to locate the owner.

Burglary: 6:24 p.m. Scenic Road. RP (reporting person) just returned home from vacation to find packages in front of his residence that were emptied, pry marks on the front door and screens removed from his windows.

Chimney fire: 10:47 p.m. Pine Drive. Resident had a hose on the fire for 10 minutes, then decided to call 911.

Noise complaint: 10:53 p.m. Sherwood Oaks Apartments on Bolinas Road. Sounds like there are somersaults going on upstairs. It’s in the bedroom area.

Public intoxication: 11:19 p.m. The Sleeping Lady Café on Broadway. Walk-in reporting person complained of a drunk who was seating and vomiting in front of the business. Subject was also talking to himself. Described as young and slender, wearing plaid.


Friday, Dec. 28 

Unwanted subject: 1:02 a.m. Center Blvd. There is an unconscious person underneath the stairs.

Vandalism: 2:51 p.m. Arroyo Road. RP is at the police station front counter to report ongoing vandalism at residence. Multiple occurrences of eggs being thrown at house.

Vandalism: 2:59 p.m. Olema Road. RP received a call from the cleaning person that the RP’s property was vandalized. Eggs were thrown and a window was broken.


Thursday, Dec. 27

Suspicious person: 6:52 a.m. Rockridge Road. A subject wrapped in a blanket is walking down the street between 1 and 15 Rockridge looking into vehicles.

Bike Theft: 6:17 p.m. Bolinas Road. RP’s husband’s white Cannondale road bike was stolen off the top of their vehicle within the last 10 minutes. Suspect was driving a white SUV and is a stocky man, roughly 6 feet tall.

Bike Theft: 6:35 p.m. Fairfax Gym on Center Blvd. Bicycle was locked to the bike rack, now is missing. Black and white Cannondale. RP saw a tall subject wearing a black hoodie near the bicycle last

DUI: 6:57 p.m. Good Earth on Center Blvd. 911 call of a possible DUI driver. Suspect was arrested.


Wednesday, Dec. 26 

Sewage: 10:28 a.m. Bay Road. RP said the sewer has overflowed and flooded the downstairs portion of his residence.

Burglary: 3:58 p.m. Bolinas Road. House has been vandalized.
