Woman Calls Police After Hearing Murderous Threat – on Her TV


Tuesday, Feb. 26

Suspicious circumstances: 5:04 a.m. Red Hill Avenue. Resident advised she can hear a male subject yelling outside of the apartment complex. Contact was made with a male subject who was identified and moved along.

Penal code violation: 11:56 a.m. Entrata Avenue. Female subject responded to the PD and advised she is visiting from Egypt and discovered female subject is getting mail at her mother's listed address and she should not be staying there. Subject was contacted and a report was taken.

Suspicious circumstances: 12:51 p.m. Elkhorn Way. Resident reported at the station to speak with an Officer about a phone scam asking her to send money for her grandchild. The RP was contacted and given advice.

Vehicle complaint: 6:27 p.m. Parkside Apartments on Sunnyhills Drive. Anonymous resident reported several cars double parking and making illegal U-turns while picking up their kids from soccer. RP (reporting person) advised this is an ongoing problem.


Monday, Feb. 25 

Suspicious circumstances: 12:54 a.m. Alta Vista. Resident reported two male subjects were yelling about killing someone and a child was screaming, somewhere behind her residence. Officers were en route when the RP determined the sound was from a television she left on in another room of her residence.

Vehicle code: 1:37 p.m. The Hub on Sir Francis Drake Bl. Caller reported a female in a vehicle tried to hit her vehicle after they exchanged words over a turning maneuver. The area was checked and the vehicle was gone upon arrival. The RP was contacted and given advice.

Fraud: 1:44 p.m. Brookside Drive. Resident reported she was the victim of identity theft. Unknown subject(s) opened a Victoria's Secret card in her name. The RP was contacted and a report was taken.

Collision: 6:41 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd./San Anselmo. 911 caller reported a two vehicle collision, blocking the roadway, with no injuries. Names were exchanged with one person driving a silver 2003 Chevy Caviler vs. another person driving a blue 1991 Lincoln Town Car. Ross Valley FD responded for a medical check on a possible complaint of pain. AAA tow responded for the driver of the Chevy.


Sunday, Feb. 24

Extra patrol request: 9:45 p.m. Belle Avenue. Her son was walking home from Fairfax on Sir Francis Drake Blvd and was concerned about a subject he had recently had a dispute with, following him. The subject recently threatened fighting with her son. Caller requested extra patrol for the night and the vehicle. Officer checked the area and the subject was not seen.

Petty theft: 10:49 p.m. Melville Avenue and Foss Avenue. Caller reported her purse was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle today between 5 and 9:30 p.m. Purse contained $200-300, driver’s license, credit cards and other miscellaneous items. RP advised no need for contact at this time and was given a log entry number.


Saturday, Feb. 23

Assist fire department: 8:50 a.m. Belle Avenue. A citizen reported via 911 of hearing a smoke alarm and the smell of smoke coming out of the apartment next to his. Unit stood by as fire department dealt with a pot left on a hot stove.

Animal complaint: 10:12 a.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Caller advised of a loose brown Pit bull running in the street fronting the school. Humane was advised. Update 10:24 a.m. hours — Caller advised she had hit the dog with her vehicle. Humane was updated and responded. Ross Valley FD responded for a dog bite report.


Friday, Feb. 22

Noise complaint: 12:52 a.m. Grove Hill Avenue North. RP reported his neighbor was intoxicated and was yelling. Her friend was also playing a trombone while outside. Officer responded and contacted both subjects who were counseled and advised of the complaint. They went in for the evening.

Parking violation: 8:16 a.m. Belle Avenue. Caller reported a large RV was parked in the red zone next to her driveway. RP stated they are part of a film crew filming in the area. Officer responded and determined they had proper permits.

Suspicious circumstances: 10:55 a.m. Greenfield Avenue. RP reported an intoxicated male subject had been attempting to gain access to his house using a key. The subject left the area on foot. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the subject.
