Oops, She Did It Again. Hawaii-Loving Woman Busted at SFO
Since Marilyn Hartman hasn't been able to produce a ticket, some people are now trying to get one for her.
According to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, 62-year-old Marilyn Hartman was arrested Wednesday in the airport's Terminal 3 baggage claim area for violating a restraining order.
After being arrested for trying to board flights to Hawaii on Feb. 15, 18 and 20, a judge issued a mandate that Hartman stay away from SFO, unless legally in possession of a ticket to fly.
Though she did not attempt to board a plane on Wednesday, the sheriff's office says she did not have a boarding pass in her name, or the funds to purchase one.
As such, authorities say she was in violation of the court order to stay away, and was trespassing. Hartman has been booked into San Mateo County jail, and her bail has been set at $7,500.
The first time she was arrested, Hartman told authorities that she has cancer and that she had wanted to go somewhere warm. It is unclear if she fabricated this information, authorities said.
Meanwhile, some people have taken notice of Hartman's story, and want to help her achieve her dream of going to Hawaii. A Go Fund Me account has been set up in her name, to raise the necessary amount for a vacation.
The page states:
Let's send her to Hawaii legally! The money raised by this campaign will go to her travel expenses. Anything above and beyond the amount raised will go to her medical expenses upon receiving proof she actually has cancer. If she doesn't, we'll donate the funds to UCSF oncology.
As of March 27, a total of $560 had been donated to the cause.
