O.C. Sheriff: Still No Suspect in San Juan Capistrano Murders

Deputies say there was no sign of forced entry at the Peppertree Bend home.

O.C. Sheriff: Still No Suspect in San Juan Capistrano Murders

Orange County sheriff’s deputies are still on the hunt for a suspect in the murder of two San Juan Capistrano residents killed Sunday morning at their house.

Investigators have determined there was no forced entry and “the incident appears isolated to the residence at 32271 Peppertree Bend,” says a press release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

However, detectives have yet to determine whether Brad and Andra Sachs, a divorced couple living together, were targeted for the attack.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, deputies and firefighters responded to unknown trouble at 32271 Peppertree Bend. Paramedics declared the Sachses dead at the scene. Their 8-year-old was seriously injured and transferred to Mission Hospital, where he remains today, officials said.

“Investigators have not identified a suspect but continue to evaluate all the evidence and information in the case,” according to the press release.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7044.  Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS (855-847-6227) or at  occrimestoppers.org.
