San Leandro Police on Monday released a sketch of a man in a hoodie who they say is a "person of interest" in the shooting at a warehouse party Sunday that left three people dead, including a student from San Leandro High.

Police Department spokesman Sergeant Doug Calcagno stopped short of calling the man a suspect.

But he did say police wanted to question the man in connection with the that occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot behind an industrial building at 2661 Alvarado St.

Police described the man as a black male with a light complexion, about five-foot-seven inches tall and weighing an estimated 150 pounds. He is thought to be between the ages of 18 to 21.

Police said he has black hair in dreadlocks with gold tips that extend just below the shoulders. He has a thin mustache and a goatee, and wears upper and lower gold teeth with canines and diamonds

He is being sought for questioning in a shooting spree that wounded three people in addition to the three who were killed.

Those killed in the attack include a 16-year-old , Leneasha Northington, who was in the parking lot when at least two gumen opened fire for reasons as yet unexplained.

At a press conference Monday afternoon, Calcagno said police hoped that as partygoers recovered from the shock of witnessing the shooting, some of them would offer information leading to an arrest.
