Trailer, Shed Fire In Oakland Closes Union Pacific Train Route
Fire crews in Oakland were working to put out a smokey blaze that charred several trailers, a recreational vehicle and a shed.
OAKLAND, CA — Fire crews were working to suppress a blaze that had spread to multiple trailers, a recreational vehicle and a shed in Oakland on Sunday. The fire was reported on the 700 block of Douglas Avenue, Oakland firefighters said on Twitter.
Union Pacific trains in the area were temporarily shut down as Oakland firefighters battled the smokey blaze.
"Unfortunately, the first due fire station to this area (Station 27), is browned out today," fire officials wrote on Twitter.
