Wrapping up his career in October 2015 in San Francisco, the left-handed, 14-year baseball veteran joined the Giants in 2009 and is well known as the Giants winning pitcher of Game 7 of the 2014 World series, helping the Giants earn a third World Series title since 2010.

He can be heard on KNBR weekly and seen as a Sports Analyst on Comcast’s SF Giant’s post-game shows. He is an author, with his second book is expected to be released in late 2016 and regular contributor to the Huffington Post and Medium.com. Affeldt is also an active leader in the campaign to end human trafficking and modern day slavery, and is an advocate to support and feed the hungry at home and around the globe.
